Literary Safari develops, produces, and publishes inclusive children’s media rooted in an understanding of learning science, educational standards, narrative design, and good, old-fashioned fun! Our award-winning stories, games, and curriculum are grounded in the 4 C’s of 21st century education—Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Collaboration. Whether we are developing products for our clients or tinkering in our own studio, we are committed to mindful design that celebrates diversity and global citizenship.

Our Webby Award-nominated podcast matches kids and their story ideas with the imaginations of diverse, beloved storytellers who grow their “story seeds” into original short stories! #PSA: The New Bad Guy in Town

There’s a new bad guy in town and his name is COVID-19, aka Coronavirus. In a special PSA for The Story Seeds Podcast, Jason Reynolds, the National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature, gives kids (and grownups!) eight everyday tips for fighting germs and staying healthy, plus an example of a recipe for homemade hand sanitizer.

Grandma’s Great Gourd

Our interactive storybook app brought alive the award-winning picture book Grandma and the Great Gourd by best-selling author Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni. It was featured in USA Today’s report on children’s apps that highlight diversity. Common Sense Media "Best Book App for Kids" pick and winner of Tech with Kids "Best Pick App" Award.
