The Swahili word “safari” means trip.
In our lifetimes, we all embark on multiple safaris — trips that are sometimes real and other times, imaginary or metaphorical. What better way is there to keep tabs on our daily journeys (to places known and unknown) than through the written word? Join us on a daily literary safari as we travel and discover the world through books, art, movies, music, family, and more.Featured Stories

Virtual Push Pins
Posted on October 15, 2010 | 1 CommentI've been using Facebook and emails to share snippets like this, but it's no fun to go back through my wall or email in search of old posts or emails. It's time for a little bitty change. I'm hereby launching a series of short posts titled "Bulletin Board" where I will post short snippets of items of interest that I would put up on a physical bulletin board, if I had one above my desk, push pins and all. Quotes, neat images, little recipes, books and articles worth that make me go hmmm. You get the idea.
